After losing MySpace as a platform, I had to improvise....
I didn't understand MySpace at first. The idea seemed odd, but, I realized that this was an easy way to rapidly meet lots of people and instantly pitch my business to them without actually pitching. Then we lost MySpace, and I became frustrated, because, things were changing and someone moved my cheese.
With Instagram, we had that experience again, and I was happy. Their platform was just as effective as having a MySpace profile used to be, and it wasn't long until everything changed and someone moved my cheese again.
After I realized that someone kept moving my cheese....
I was outraged. But, at the same time I didn't care. But, I knew that I had to do something, and I had to start acting fast, because, trust me when I say that building a company like this is extremely difficult. But, I was determined. I wanted to start my own platform, and I went through many business partners before I decided to just do everything myself.
Yes, I took it upon myself to see this company through. And, yes, many people would come and go, but, I held my ground and stayed steadfast in the moment for every moment that I could. And, here we are today.
I would rise and I would fall, but I let that inspire me....
I didn't stop pursuing the idea I had to start this company no matter how many times I fell back down. I would often think about the deals that never worked out, and all of the discussions that I had with investors while trying to get them on–board. I didn't let that get me down, I let it all inspire me to become even better.
When I started creating Corriv, I was inspired by all of the latest technology, and by many of the available scripts that I got to try–out before deciding on this one. But, once I found this one, I just knew.
I worked many long nights and days coding and designing....
While my friends were out partying, I spent many weekends alone, trying to code this thing perfectly. I had to scrap a lot of ideas over the years, and there was even more trial and error along the way outside of that as well. When things got tough, I remained dedicated to finding my cheese again.
Even tho I built this company from the ground–up, I couldn't have done all of this without the dedication of the other talented developers and mentors that inspired me and/or helped me make this platform what it is today.
